Following the Women’s Premier League (WPL) final victory by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), former England captain Michael Vaughan expressed his opinion that 2024 might mark a double celebration for the team.

Ellyse Perry displayed composure with an unbeaten 35 to help Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) win the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 title with an eight-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium here on Sunday, ending a 16-year drought. Spinners Shreyanka Patil, Sophie Molineux, and Asha Sobhana shared nine wickets between them.

In addition to congratulating the squad on X, Vaughan offered an intriguing prognosis for the forthcoming IPL 2024 season.

Fantastic competition. Well-earned victory for the RCB! The Men can now perform the double! “This might be the year,” Vaughan stated on X.

On March 22, in Chennai, the men’s team captained by Faf du Plessis will take on the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening match of the IPL 2024.

The opening leg of the IPL 2024 season will feature five games for the RCB men’s team.
