On Monday, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, praised Adani Cement for reaching 100 million tonnes capacity at a world-record pace.
In a post on the X social media site, the billionaire businessman said that Adani Cement is now one of the world’s most efficient cement factories.
“100 million tonnes of capacity created at a world record pace! “Adani Cement is now one of the most efficient cement manufacturers in the world,” stated the Adani Group Chairman.
Gautam Adani went on to say that it reflects “our unwavering belief in India’s growth story, and the strength of a set of trusted brands built over decades”.
Meanwhile, Ambuja Cements, the diversified Adani Group’s cement and construction material company, achieved the highest annual PAT growth of 9% at Rs 5,158 crore in FY25, surpassing 100 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) capacity last fiscal.
With this accomplishment, Ambuja became the world’s ninth-largest cement business. The company also announced its highest yearly sales of Rs 35,045 crore, up 6% year on year. It generated the highest-ever annual tonnage, at 65.2 million tonnes in FY25, up 10% (on-year).
Furthermore, it produced its highest EBITDA in a quarter at Rs 1,868 crore, up 10% year on year, while PAT on a standalone basis increased by 75% to Rs 929 crore.
This success was bolstered by improved KPIs across operational parameters, demonstrating the company’s strength and resilience, robust volume growth, value extraction from acquired assets, increased cost leadership, and group synergies.
The company successfully commissioned a 2.4 MTPA brownfield general use (GU) expansion in Farakka (West Bengal), as well as a 0.5 MTPA debottlenecking across multiple plants. The cement producer also commissioned 299 MW of renewable energy out of a total projected of 1,000 MW, with the remaining balance to be completed gradually by June 2026.
“Brands that have stood by India through every turn and, now, are building for its future,” disclosed Gautam Adani.
