The Indian Army successfully carried out “Operation Sindoor,” striking nine high-value terror targets deep into Pakistan, in a significant military operation in the wake of the horrific Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians.
Targeting terrorist infrastructure linked to the attack’s perpetrators, the operation was executed with accuracy.
All nine targets were effectively hit, according to the Indian government, and neither Pakistani military nor civilian infrastructure was impacted.
The strikes were a part of India’s retaliation to the terror incident in J&K on April 22 that killed 25 Indians and one Nepali.
India planned the operation to hold those accountable for the attack accountable while exercising prudence to prevent a worsening of the situation.
Throughout the night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top officials kept a careful eye on the operation’s development.
According to sources, the prime minister kept in close contact with military leaders and national security advisors to make sure the operation went according to plan.
The importance of the mission and the government’s resolve to combat terrorism were demonstrated by the PM’s active participation.
A spokesman for the Indian Army attested to the strikes’ precision, non-escalation, and focus. Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) were the locations of the targets, which were recognized as known terror camps and infrastructure.
In keeping with India’s commitment to focused counterterrorism activities, the army’s statement emphasized that no Pakistani civilian, military, or economic infrastructure was damaged.
“We have taken exact and targeted action. “Justice is served,” an Indian Army spokesman stated, adding, “We have only targeted terrorist camps from where attacks against India have been planned and executed.”
