On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will use a video conference from Varanasi to launch the first-ever Ernakulam-KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express.
This will be the 12th pair to operate within the Southern Railway network and the third Vande Bharat service for Kerala.
According to Southern Railway officials, the new service will improve regional connectivity and strengthen social and economic relations between Karnataka and Kerala.
The introduction of the Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat is viewed as a component of Indian Railways’ ongoing initiatives to increase semi-high-speed connectivity throughout the South’s major cities.
According to officials, professionals, business owners, and students would all benefit from the new service’s seamless link between Bengaluru, India’s IT capital, and Ernakulam, Kerala’s commercial center.
Before arriving in Bengaluru, the train will pass through Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, and Krishnarajapuram.
All of these stations will host ceremonial events, and the prime minister’s inauguration will be streamed live.
The train will be welcomed with open arms at every stop, and participation from elected officials, students, and the general public is anticipated.
The Ernakulam–Bengaluru train, designated 06652 for its first special, will depart Ernakulam Junction at 8 a.m. and arrive at KSR Bengaluru at 5.50 p.m. on the same day.
It will have an eight-coach Vande Bharat rake with contemporary passenger amenities.
Three additional Vande Bharat Express services—Banaras–Khajuraho, Lucknow–Saharanpur, and Firozpur Cantt–Delhi—will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister from the Banaras Railway Station, the site of his main event.
Ernakulam and the en route stations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, such as Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, and Salem, will host ceremonial events.
There are now two Vande Bharat pairs operating in Kerala, and the train is typically crowded.
