Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, has formally announced the opening of two additional retail locations in Bengaluru’s Hebbal and Pune’s Koregaon Park as the company gets ready to increase its retail presence in India. Cook said the US tech giant is “thrilled” to continue offering the best of its technology to customers throughout India at these two new locations.

On Thursday, the CEO of Apple posted on his official social media account, X: “Hello to Apple Koregaon Park in Pune and Apple Hebbal in Bengaluru! With these two additional locations, we are excited to keep offering the best of Apple to consumers throughout India.”

On September 2, 2025, Apple Hebbal, the first of these new stores, was supposed to open in Bengaluru. After the opening of Apple Saket in Delhi and Apple Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai, the store will open at the Phoenix Mall of Asia, becoming the third official Apple Store in the nation.

In homage to India’s national bird, the business has teased the Bengaluru opening with a distinctive wall made of colorful peacock feathers.

The store is anticipated to provide the entire line of Apple products, including iPads, Macs, iPhones, AirPods, and accessories, in addition to professional assistance and the well-liked “Today at Apple” events.

In addition to Bengaluru, Apple was getting ready to open its fourth location in Pune. According to reports, the Pune location will open in early September at the KOPA Mall in Koregaon Park.

In addition to being a sizable flagship shop spanning 10,000 square feet, this new location will be the first Apple shop outside of Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra.

At the moment, Apple operates two official retail locations in India: one in New Delhi and one in Mumbai.

On the other hand, more stores were expected to open shortly.

Tim Cook revealed this information on the company’s earnings call, stating that additional retail outlets in India are planned until the end of 2025.

This statement comes in the wake of previous rumors that Apple intends to open four additional stores nationwide, with Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and Noida among the anticipated locations.

Following a stellar first quarter of fiscal year 2025, in which the iPhone was named the nation’s best-selling smartphone, Apple decided to expand its retail network in India. This move reflects Apple’s increasing influence in a market where it still holds a comparatively small share.

Without a question, the company’s trust in India’s long-term prospects has grown as a result of the outstanding success.

Apple has started hiring for a number of roles in order to make the launching of its new stores easier, and it is seeking enthusiastic and qualified candidates.

Apple is increasing its manufacturing capacity in India in addition to growing its retail presence.

From the low-cost iPhone 16e to the high-end Pro and Pro Max models, the whole iPhone 16 series is now produced in the country.

This action reflects Apple’s continued support of the ‘Make in India’ campaign, which it has supported since 2017.

The iPhone 17 will be available in a few weeks, getting into the hands of both “iPhone lovers” and the majority of tech-savvy individuals. Given that production has increased in India, there will likely be an unprecedented local supply of the iPhone 17, which means that many affluent customers (and fans of EMI) will want to purchase the new model. As a result, Apple is preparing to sell more iPhones than before.

In addition to Delhi and Mumbai, Apple’s retail chain is now growing its network of stores in two additional major cities. While the second one will open in Pune, the first will open for Bengaluru residents just before the iPhone 17 is released.

These stores in Bengaluru and Pune, which opened about two years after the first ones on Indian soil, are anticipated to expand the number of customers who can enjoy the “Apple experience.”

It would seem like a brilliant idea to open these Apple Stores in Bengaluru and Pune, two of India’s thriving metropolises, as the iPhone 17 series is rumored to be coming out shortly.

Since all of the iPhone 17 variants are being made in India, Apple anticipates that its increased presence will reach more Indians.

For customers wishing to explore and buy the upcoming iPhone 17 series, the new retail outlets will offer a much-needed in-person experience.

According to reports, Foxconn, Apple’s manufacturing partner, has already started producing the iPhone 17 on a small scale at its new plant in Bengaluru, solidifying India’s position as a crucial center for the company’s international operations. Additionally, a production plant supported by the Tata Group will handle the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max versions.
