The Cooperative Kumbh 2025 (CoopKumbh 2025), an international conference on the Urban Cooperative Credit Sector, will be opened on Monday at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi by Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah.

The goal of the two-day event, “Digitizing Dreams – Empowering Communities,” is to promote innovation in the cooperative banking industry and fortify the cooperative basis for financial inclusion.

Under the auspices of the Indian government’s Ministry of Cooperation, the National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB) is organizing the esteemed conference. It is a crucial platform created to promote cooperation between regulators, financial institutions, cooperative leaders, policymakers, and technological innovators from both India and elsewhere.

The conference will discuss a variety of topics, such as digital transformation, governance reforms, and the empowerment of women and young leadership in the cooperative sector, according to NAFCUB President Laxmi Dass, highlighting the importance of the occasion.

In order to ensure that the cooperative model continues to play a crucial part in India’s inclusive growth story, he emphasized that CoopKumbh 2025 aims to empower communities via communication, creativity, and a common vision.

International experts will also be present at the conference, including officials from GreenStone Farm Credit Services and the World Council of Credit Unions, who will discuss worldwide best practices in sustainable banking and cooperative financing.

CoopKumbh 2025 coincides with the United Nations’ International Year of Cooperatives 2025, a momentous occasion in the global cooperative movement.

The occasion emphasizes how important cooperative finance is to the advancement of digital innovation, community-driven development, and economic empowerment.

CoopKumbh 2025 is set to pave a revolutionary route for India’s urban cooperative credit institutions, strengthening their function as catalysts for social advancement and grassroots financial inclusion, with the involvement of important players from throughout the cooperative ecosystem.
