According to an official release, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Odisha on Saturday to lay the groundwork and officially open many development projects in Jharsuguda totaling more than Rs 60,000 crore.

These initiatives cover a wide range of industries, including rural housing, higher education, healthcare, telecommunications, railroads, and skill development. On the occasion, he will also speak at a public meeting.

According to the statement, the Prime Minister will commission around 97,500 mobile 4G towers that were constructed using Swadeshi technology at an approximate cost of Rs 37,000 crore.

This comprises almost 92,600 4G technology sites that BSNL has put into service.

According to the statement, more than 18,900 4G sites have been sponsored under the Digital Bharat Nidhi, which would serve more than 20 lakh new subscribers by connecting about 26,700 unconnected villages in distant, border, and left-wing extremist-affected areas.

These solar-powered towers represent a breakthrough in sustainable infrastructure and the largest group of green telecom facilities in India.

Important railway projects that will improve connectivity and regional growth will be dedicated to the country by the prime minister, who will also lay the foundation stone.

These include the Manabar–Koraput–Gorapur line, the Koraput–Baiguda line’s doubling for the nation, and the foundation stone for the Rail Flyover at Sambalpur–Sarla.

By greatly enhancing freight and passenger transit throughout Odisha and its neighboring states, these initiatives will support regional trade and industry.

The Prime Minister will also launch the Amrit Bharat Express, which will connect important economic areas, encourage tourism, create jobs, and offer comfortable and reasonably priced interstate connection between Berhampur and Udhna (Surat).

At an estimated cost of Rs 11,000 crore, PM Modi will also lay the groundwork for the expansion of eight IITs: Tirupati, Palakkad, Bhilai, Jammu, Dharwad, Jodhpur, Patna, and Indore.
