On Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu will travel to Mathura and Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh to pray at important temples.

She will take a special train from Delhi to Vrindavan, where she will see the Shri Nabha Krishna Sudama Kuti on the Parikrama Marg, Nidhivan, and the Shri Thakur Banke Bihari Temple.

The visit is particularly significant because it takes place during the Shri Nabha Krishna Sudama Kuti Ashram’s centennial celebrations.

The President has received an invitation from the Ashram’s Mahant, and plans are in motion to set up a Ram Darbar there. The President will also spend 20 minutes meeting with saints and sages while she is there.

The Municipal Corporation and the district administration have prepared for her arrival in great detail.

The President’s convoy will head toward Nidhivan after special prayers and the lighting of silver lamps at the Banke Bihari Temple.

To guarantee a seamless visit, senior officials managed the temples’ security measures.

On Tuesday, Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar and Uttar Pradesh Director-General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Krishna traveled to Mathura and Vrindavan to examine the arrangements.

At the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple and other locations on the President’s itinerary, every facet of security was carefully examined.

Traffic diversion will be in place from 7 a.m. on September 25 till the President leaves, as strict procedures have been implemented.

President Murmu previously traveled to Gaya on September 20th, when she conducted the revered “pind daan” and “shraaddh” rites for her ancestors at the Phalgu Akshayavat and Vishnupad Temple during the renowned Pitru Paksha Mela.

The “pind daan,” a ceremony said to save departed souls, was performed by a sitting president for the first time in Indian history.

Rajesh Lal Katariar, the custodian of ancestral records for Upar Beda families, assisted the President, whose ancestral village is Upar Beda in the Mayurganj area of Odisha, in performing the rites.
