Today, the PM will kick off the celebration of Acharya Shri Vidyanand’s 100th birthday

At the opening ceremony of the year-long celebration of Acharya Shri Vidyanand Ji Maharaj’s 100th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will serve as the Chief Guest.

The Bhagwan Mahaveer Ahimsa Bharti Trust and the Ministry of Culture are organizing the event, which will take place on Saturday at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi starting at 9 a.m.

Around 11 a.m., the Prime Minister is expected to formally kick off the centennial celebrations and give a speech to the crowd.

Rashtrasant Paramparacharya Shri 108 Pragyasagar ji Muniraj and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, would also be there to mark the occasion.

Honoring the remarkable legacy of Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj, a renowned Jain spiritual leader, philosopher, scholar, and social reformer, is the goal of the year-long homage.

Acharya Vidyanand Ji, who wrote more than 50 academic works on Jain ethics and philosophy, is renowned for his important contributions to the preservation and advancement of Jain philosophy and traditional Indian languages.

Along with his lifelong commitment to education, particularly in Prakrit and Sanskrit literature, his relentless efforts also played a significant role in the rehabilitation and restoration of old Jain temples throughout India.

Because of his dedication to non-violence, moral behavior, and community service, as well as his inclusive approach to spiritual instruction, Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj is highly regarded.

In order to disseminate his eternal message of wisdom, compassion, and peace throughout the nation, the centennial program will include a number of literary, spiritual, cultural, and educational events throughout the year.
