Tomorrow, the Gujarat chief minister will launch development projects in Banaskantha valued at Rs 358 crore

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will visit the border village of Suigam on Thursday to dedicate and lay the foundation stones for development projects totaling Rs 358.37 crore in Banaskantha district.

Key initiatives in the fields of health, education, transportation, infrastructure, and energy will be launched at the daylong event in rural North Gujarat.

At 10 a.m., the chief minister will start his visit in Suigam, where he will officially open a brand-new bus terminal that the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) built at a cost of Rs 1.83 crore. In order to improve public transportation throughout the state, he will also launch 11 new buses as the first of a planned rollout of 1,963 buses.

A major portion of the day’s events will be held in Nadabet, where CM Patel will lay e-foundation stones for new projects totaling Rs 302.69 crore and conduct e-inaugurations of projects valued at Rs 55.68 crore.

These include school infrastructure, rural electricity, road and building construction, and health projects. The foundation stone for a new sub-district hospital in Deesa, which is expected to be constructed at a cost of Rs 80 crore, and six sub-health centers in isolated villages are among the main attractions. Under the state’s Samagra Shiksha project, 45 freshly built classrooms will be opened and the groundwork for an additional 54 classrooms will be created, significantly enhancing education.

The chief minister will also lay the groundwork for two additional 66 KV substations, which are expected to cost Rs 29 crore, and inaugurate three new ones to guarantee a steady supply of electricity in rural areas. The Chief Minister will meet with BSF staff at the Nadabet Border Outpost (BOP) and pray at the Nadeshwari Mata temple after the events.

Speaker of the Gujarat Assembly Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Industries Minister and Banaskantha District In-Charge Balvantsinh Rajput, as well as other dignitaries and high-ranking officials, will accompany him.
