In an effort to combat cross-border terrorism, a multi-party Indian Parliamentary delegation led by Sanjay Kumar Jha, MP for Janata Dal United, spoke to influential Malaysian political figures in Kuala Lumpur.
The Indian Embassy in Malaysia said in a press release on social media platform X on Monday that the delegation engaged in high-level discussions with representatives of important Malaysian political parties and think tanks to express India’s unwavering position on zero tolerance for terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations.
According to the press release, the visit confirmed the country’s agreement to take swift, appropriate action against terrorism and its backers.

The Sanjay Kumar-led delegation Jha also includes former Indian Ambassador to France Mohan Kumar, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Barittas, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, and BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Hemang Joshi, and Pradan Baruah.
The team is in Malaysia for the final stop of the tour, which includes stops in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Indonesia. The purpose of the trip is to draw attention to the importance of Operation Sindoor and India’s ongoing efforts to combat cross-border terrorism supported by Pakistan.
According to a news release from the Indian Embassy in Malysia, the delegation described India’s steadfast strategy under Operation Sindoor and reiterated India’s unity against cross-border terrorism during the meeting with Sim Tze Tzin’s People’s Justice Party, or Parti Keadilan Rakyat.
The Indian delegation’s thorough briefing was valued by the PKR delegation.
During the meeting, Sanjay Kumar Jha, the delegation’s leader, also spoke with Saraswathy Kandasami, the deputy minister of national unity.
Under the leadership of M. Kula Segaran, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform), the group engaged in fruitful discussions with the Democratic Action Party (DAP).
India’s viewpoints and national resolve against terrorism were communicated by the delegation.
Discussions focused on India’s determination to combat cross-border terrorism with Operation Sindoor and its diplomatic efforts, highlighting the fact that “Water and blood cannot flow together” in relation to the Indus Water Treaty, which is still pending.
In their meeting with senior members of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), led by Deputy President Datuk Seri M. Saravanan and Tan Sri Dato Sri S.A. Vigneswaran, the delegation also emphasized India’s steadfast anti-terrorism stance and communicated the country’s new normal of resolutely opposing any act of terror on Indian territory.
The leadership of the MIC said that they supported India’s efforts to combat terrorism.
The delegation briefed prominent Malaysian academic institutions and think tanks, such as the Asia Europe Institute, the Economic Club of Kuala Lumpur, and the Institute of Strategic and International Studies, on the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam and described Operation Sindoor, which is India’s exact, responsible, non-escalating response.
India’s zero-tolerance attitude towards terrorism was also explained by the delegation, which emphasized that India will no longer distinguish between terrorists and the nations that aid them.
A representative from a think tank introduced the nine-member all-party delegation from India, referred to as “Navaratnas,” and praised the delegation’s “All Party” stance.
Discussions centered on how to improve international collaboration in the collective fight against terrorism in all of its manifestations, as well as India’s new normal and security philosophy in the battle against cross-border terrorism.
These interactions are a component of India’s coordinated diplomatic endeavor to demonstrate its principled and cohesive stance on terrorism.
