The family of Army jawan M. Murali Naik, who was killed during the cross-border fire by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control, will receive Rs 50 lakh ex gratia, the Andhra Pradesh government declared on Sunday.

A 300-square-yard home location and five acres of land were also declared by the state government for the family. It also made the decision to hire a family member.

After paying final respects to the jawan in Kallithanda hamlet of Gorantla mandal in Sri Sathya Sai district, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made the announcements.

Additionally, the Jana Sena leader personally stated that Murali Naik’s family would receive Rs 25 lakh in aid.

The Deputy CM honored the fallen soldier and lay a wreath. He also offered consolation to the jawan’s family, who were 25 years old.

The politician-actor promised the family that the central government and the state would help them in any way imaginable.

A bronze statue of Murali Naik will be placed in the district headquarters, according to Pawan Kalyan.

Murali Naik also received final compliments from Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh and Home Minister V. Anitha. Lokesh promised his family his full support.

On Saturday, Murali Naik’s mortal remains arrived at his house. BC Welfare Minister S. Savitha met the body when it first landed at Bengaluru Airport.

The body of the fallen soldier was later transported in a military convoy to Gorantla. Hundreds of people showered Naik’s village with petals as a sign of respect. ‘Murali Naik amar rahe’ was being chanted by the crowd while wearing the Indian flag.

On the evening of May 8, Pakistani forces opened fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, killing Agniveer Murali Naik.

Naik was stationed along the tense Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir when the Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire by initiating massive artillery and mortar bombardment following India’s “Operation Sindoor.” He was from a poor agricultural family in the tribal hamlet.

Mudavath Sriram Naik and Mudavath Jyothi Bai, both of whom were agricultural laborers in Gorantla Mandal, had only one son, Murali.
