The Raphe mPhibr Drone Manufacturing Unit and Defence Equipment and Engine Test Facility in Sector-81, Noida, were launched on Saturday by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The construction of cutting-edge facilities for drones, aircraft engines, and aerospace testing, according to CM Yogi, was a significant accomplishment for India’s defense industry in the face of changing international challenges.
Since 1947, India has faced difficulties, and Operation Sindoor has shown the country’s strength in this new phase of conflict. The world yields to you if you are strong. Peace reigns when Sastra (arms) and Shastra (epics) work together, he stated.
The Chief Minister used the bravery of Maharana Pratap as well as the lion’s representation of power and strength.
Emphasizing Uttar Pradesh’s role in the country’s defense, he stated that the state has nine working ordnance factories and that 12,500 acres of land had been set aside for the Defence Corridor, which will span the cities of Agra, Aligarh, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, and Kanpur.
He claimed that Operation Sindoor had previously demonstrated the capability of a BrahMos missile unit stationed in Lucknow.
Yogi congratulated the new unit and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to national security and defense manufacturing.
The center represents a landmark in India’s scientific and defense innovation, according to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
“This unit represents a revolution in defense technology and is committed to the country.” More than 3,600 scientists and engineers work for the company, which started out with just 10 employees in 2017, he noted.
Singh referred to the site as India’s most inventive aircraft production base and asserted that neither Chinese nor American defense systems could identify the drones created there. “The enemy will be scared by this technology,” he continued.
He added that under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh—once seen to be challenging for industrial investment because of its lax law and order—has emerged as the top destination for investors.
Singh cited instances from around the world to illustrate how drones have become essential to contemporary combat, such as in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
He recalled the 1998 nuclear tests at Pokhran and claimed that India had always advanced in spite of resistance.
The Defense Minister added that because to a combination of willpower, science, and the bravery of India’s military, equipment created by this business in partnership with DRDO was successfully deployed in Operation Sindoor in just 14 months.
