Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday to launch and lay the groundwork for a number of development projects valued at almost Rs 2,200 crore, marking a major step towards progress in his parliamentary seat.

At approximately 11 a.m., PM Modi will speak at a public event during his tour and unveil the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) program. Reiterating the government’s ongoing support for India’s agricultural community, over Rs 20,500 crore would be immediately deposited into the bank accounts of over 9.7 crore farmers nationwide as part of this installment.

The Prime Minister will officially open the enlargement and fortification of important roads, like as the Varanasi–Bhadohi and Chhitauni–Shool Tankeshwar roads, as part of the endeavors to improve connectivity. Additionally, he will open a railway overbridge in Hardattpur, which should ease traffic on the busy Mohan Sarai–Adalpura route.

PM Modi will also lay the groundwork for a number of new infrastructure initiatives, like as the improvement of roads in Babatpur, Gangapur, Lahartara-Kotwa, and Dalmandi.

To further improve local transportation options, new railway overbridges are also proposed at Khalispur Yard and Level Crossing 22C.

The Prime Minister will also introduce electricity projects totaling more than Rs 880 crore, with an emphasis on enhancing the city’s power infrastructure. Aiming to modernize and protect the city’s power supply system, they include the Smart Distribution Project and the undergrounding of overhead electrical wires.

PM Modi will unveil the restoration of the historic Durgakund, the beautifying of the pond and ghat at Rangildas Kutiya in Shivpur, and the rehabilitation of eight riverfront Kuccha Ghats in an effort to boost tourism and preserve the city’s rich cultural legacy.

The restoration of Kardameshwar Mahadev Temple, the construction of Karkhiyaon, the birthplace of prominent independence warriors, and the conversion of Munshi Premchand’s ancestral home in Lamahi into a museum will all see the laying of foundation stones.
