In a bold statement to the international community against the backdrop of “Operation Sindoor,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Monday that nuclear blackmail will not weaken India’s resolve to combat terrorism at its source wherever in the world.

“Military action in terror hubs in neighboring countries has set a new normal in the country’s tough three-pronged anti-terror policy,” Prime Minister Modi said in his first speech to the nation following an agreement on a truce with Pakistan and the start of Operation Sindoor.

In order to provide a robust reaction to attempts to target its nationals, he added, India is committed to pursuing terrorists anywhere in the world as part of the three-pronged new normal against terror.

“The second aspect of the new normal is that India will not permit any terrorist supporter to use nuclear blackmail as a means of evading our wrath in the event of a terror strike,” he declared.

Additionally, PM Modi said that government-backed terrorists will be handled on an equal footing with terrorist mentors under India’s new normal against terrorism.

The Prime Minister stated that it is not a “era of terror,” any more than it is a “era of war,” while restating India’s resolve to respond forcefully to terrorism regardless of nuclear blackmail.

“Terror and talk, terror and trade, and water and blood cannot flow together,” Prime Minister Modi warned Pakistan in a special video address to the country at 8 p.m. on Monday. We will only discuss terror and Kashmir with Pakistan.

He praised the military and claimed that the government’s “Nation First” policy allowed it to make firm judgments.

“We struck terror hubs in the heart of that country and also destroyed its defense facilities when it attacked us instead of joining our war against terror that eliminated 100 terrorists,” the prime minister warned, threatening to destroy Pakistan’s own terror infrastructure.

To evaluate the results of Operation Sindoor, in which the military killed 100 terrorists, PM Modi presided over a high-level meeting earlier in the day with senior government officials, including NSA Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The prime minister’s home in the nation’s capital served as the venue for the gathering. The meeting was attended by General Upendra Dwivedi, Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, and Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, as well as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan.
