On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Karnataka for a day in order to officially launch a number of significant transportation and infrastructure projects in Bengaluru.

The Prime Minister will launch three brand-new Vande Bharat Express trains from KSR Bengaluru Railway Station as part of the visit.

These will include the virtual inaugurations of the Amritsar–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Nagpur (Ajni)–Pune routes, as well as the Bengaluru–Belagavi service (physical flag-off). It is anticipated that these trains will greatly increase connection throughout the nation, bolstering India’s high-speed rail system even more.

PM Modi will unveil the eagerly anticipated Yellow Line of the Namma Metro, which runs from Ragigudda (RV Road) to Electronic City, after the flag-off event. Between the two stations, he will also take a metro journey.

This new route is anticipated to start commercial operations at 5:00 a.m. on Monday and will serve thousands of commuters every day, particularly in Electronic City’s tech area.

After that, the prime minister will lay the cornerstone and officially launch a number of citywide connectivity and urban infrastructure projects. The laying of the foundation for Bangalore Metro Phase-3, a project of Rs 15,610 crore that would expand the city’s metro network by over 44 kilometers and include 31 elevated stations, will be a major highlight.

The Prime Minister will officially launch and lay the groundwork for Bengaluru’s urban connection initiatives at approximately 1:00 p.m. He will also speak at a public event.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police have imposed parking bans and traffic restrictions on a number of routes between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. due to the high-level visit and anticipated crowds.

Marenahalli Main Road, Electronic City Flyover, Hosur Road, and internal roads in Electronics City Phase 1 such as Infosys Avenue, Velankani Road, and HP Avenue Road are among the most affected regions. During these hours, residents are urged to avoid restricted areas and consider alternate routes.

To guarantee easy mobility and security, more than 50 checkpoints will be set up throughout the city, along with more than 10,000 police officers.
