During Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s first Indian Premier League (IPL) victory, star batsman Virat Kohli took a moment to thank his partner, Anushka Sharma, for their support.
With 43 from 35 balls, Kohli led the RCB to an overwhelming 190/9 in the summit match. To defend it, RCB’s outstanding bowlers held Punjab Kings to 184/7, powered by Krunal Pandya’s game-winning 2-17.
Given her Bengaluru ancestry, Kohli claimed that Anushka’s victory is even more meaningful.
She’s seen it for eleven years, while I’ve seen it for eighteen. experienced the same things since 2014, and we rejoiced in each narrow victory and the craziness of our fans at the Chinnaswamy. This is much more important for her because she is also from Bangalore, and we are both equally relieved. On Instagram, Kohli wrote, “Together all the way through ❤️❤️❤️ @anushkasharma.”
When the last ball was struck and victory was certain, Kohli fell to the ground in tears. Kohli was observed waiting at the boundary line until Anushka joined him, while his teammates rejoiced and reflected on their accomplishments.
The couple then embraced and hugged tightly as they reveled in their joint success. In what can only be characterized as a wholesome moment, the athletes’ families joined in as they lifted the trophy.
After lifting the title, Kohli talked about Anushka and stated he couldn’t put into words how much she helps him.
You know, it’s been eleven years for her as well. persistently attending games, observing challenging matches, and observing us fail. You cannot put into words what your life partner does for you to play, the sacrifices they make, the dedication they show, and their unwavering support. After the game, Kohli remarked, “You can only truly comprehend the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes and what they go through when you play professionally.”
