Hardik Pandya, the seam-bowling all-rounder for India, said he didn’t realize he had scored the second-fastest T20I fifty for his country until after he was dismissed, but he was happy that Yuvraj Singh still had the record.

As India scored 231/5 and won by 30 runs to win the series 3-1, Pandya enthralled everyone with his 63 off 38 deliveries, including his fifty in just 16 balls, the second quickest half-century hit by an Indian men’s hitter in T20Is.

“You play games to win, and it’s always thrilling to contribute to the team’s victory. No, until I left and returned, I was unaware that he had the second-fastest fifty for India. I was the second fastest, according to our social media team. “Ah, I missed the top spot!” was my initial thought. After winning Player of the Match, Pandya remarked, “But happy that Yuvi pa holds that record.”

The all-rounder revealed that he had intended an aggressive start while describing his thinking during the innings. “I just felt it today. In fact, I informed my partner in advance that I would try to hit the first ball for six. I was sure it would come off. My approach was appropriate in this scenario; I supported myself and it was successful. Thankfully, my measured risk paid off,” he remarked.

Pandya went on to say that his response to adversity was reflected in the knock. “I’ve always relished the challenge. The goal is to return stronger, better, and with a greater effect, regardless of how many obstacles you encounter. It feels good when everything comes together. However, preparation, planning, and hard work are all ongoing aspects of the trip.

Player of the Series wrist spinner Varun Chakaravarthy said he enjoyed the intense match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. “It was arguably the finest game of the series and a high-intensity match. I had a great time with it. I’ve been given that responsibility, and my first priority is always to find wickets.

“There’s no excuse not to. My mindset is to attack and try to make an impact everytime I get the ball. I speak with Surya, Sanju, and other people. They constantly support me, and those discussions are quite beneficial,” he remarked.

Chakaravarthy, who selected 4-53, adding that his success was largely due to his ongoing progress. simply by continuously changing. I make an effort to provide something fresh to each series. If it succeeds, that’s fantastic; if not, I return, try again, and get better. That’s how I continue to get better. I want to dedicate this to my parents, sister, and mother.

Tilak Varma, who scored 73 and had a century stand with Pandya, stated he was concentrated on staying intent on a good batting surface. “I am aware of how the Ahmedabad wicket operates here. I could tell the wicket was fantastic by the way Abhishek and Sanju bhai played early in the match. Therefore, I just want to demonstrate that intent and keep up that strike rate,” he stated.

Varma remarked, “It was incredible batting by Hardik bhai,” about batting with Pandya, his IPL captain for the Mumbai Indians. From the perspective of the non-striker, it was enjoyable to watch. He was amazing to watch and had a really clean hitting technique. When I bat, I honestly don’t have a target in mind. All I want is to get as many points as I can. In the end, we achieved our goal of 230–240.

Varma concluded by stating that he is improving his bowling. To be honest, I’m putting a lot of effort into improving my bowling. I hope to see you at the upcoming games. Asking Surya bhai is preferable (smiles). However, I hope to be able to bowl in the upcoming games.
