When the Royal Challengers Bengaluru land in Bengaluru on Wednesday afternoon, they will be ready to start a full day of festivities after finally winning their maiden IPL title on Tuesday night with a six-run victory over Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad.
According to a statement released by the team, celebrations planned to commemorate RCB’s first-ever IPL victory would start as soon as they land at the HAL Airport at 1:30 pm, having left Ahmedabad at 10 am.
Additionally, from 4-5 p.m., the team will meet with Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha. Following the Chief Minister’s visit, RCB’s eagerly anticipated triumph parade will start at around 5 p.m. and take place from Vidhana Soudha to M Chinnaswamy Stadium in an open-top bus. The Bengaluru public will also participate as they travel to the team’s home stadium.
Following this, the fan celebration of the IPL 2025 victory is scheduled to start at M Chinnaswamy Stadium at 6 p.m. The team had lost all three of its prior finals prior to Tuesday’s historic championship victory, which will live on in the indelible memory of all RCB supporters worldwide.
However, on the evening of June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, RCB posted a commanding 190/9 thanks to the top-scoring 43 off 35 balls from talismanic batsman Virat Kohli. To defend it, RCB’s outstanding bowlers held Punjab Kings to 184/7, highlighted by Krunal Pandya’s game-winning burst of 2-17 in four overs.
More than 91,000 red jersey-wearing fans in the stadium, along with the team’s devoted supporters in Bengaluru and around the world, ignited the boisterous, long-awaited celebrations of the franchise winning the IPL in its 18th year. It meant that RCB and Kohli, wearing a number 18 jersey, finally got their hands on the elusive trophy.
