In honor of International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Friday that LPG cylinder costs would be coming down by Rs 100.

PM Modi said on his official X handle that the government has decided to lower the price of LPG cylinders by Rs. 100 in a post on Women’s Day. Millions of households nationwide would see a major decrease in their financial load as a result, with our Nari Shakti being the main beneficiaries.

By lowering the cost of cooking gas, we also hope to promote family happiness and maintain a cleaner environment. This is consistent with our mission to guarantee women’s “Ease of Living” and to empower them.”

Since taking office in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a number of consistent decisions, of which this is one. His leadership style and approach to policy have consistently demonstrated his dedication to women-led development.

It was at his direction that the Gujarat government set up a powerful council for women’s welfare, which on January 23, 2002, three months after PM Modi took office, formulated the ‘Nari Gaurav Niti’.

This strategy placed a strong emphasis on actively include women in its execution and educating all administrative departments about the socioeconomic, educational, and developmental requirements of women. This approach is still in place today.

Then, in an effort to advance gender equality and raise awareness of the significance of women’s welfare inside government agencies, the Gujarat state government publicly adopted the ‘Nari Gaurav Niti’ policy in 2006.

As Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has made it a priority to advance women’s empowerment and women-led development-principles that are fundamental to his style of leadership.
