Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, announced on Wednesday that he will be relocating the aerospace company’s headquarters and the social networking platform X from California.
After California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a new rule prohibiting school staff from forcing parents to be informed if kids wish to use names or pronouns other than those on their birth certificates, Musk made his decision.
The last straw is this. The tech mogul said, “As a result of this law and the numerous others that came before it, attacking both families and companies.”
Musk went on, “SpaceX will now relocate its headquarters from Hawthorne, California to Starbase, Texas.”
He went on to say that approximately a year ago, he did communicate to Governor Newsom that “laws of this nature would force families and companies to leave California to protect their children.”
“Authorities consistently promise improvement, but nothing changes. It was the worst experience ever last week. California allows crime to run wild,” bemoaned the CEO of Tesla.
Tesla’s headquarters have already moved from California to Texas thanks to Musk.
“Congratulations on making this choice,” wrote X on social media. The beauty of a republic with 50 states is that, as citizens, we may choose to leave and relocate to a place that more closely embodies our beliefs if one of the states turns into a despotism.
Starbase, a SpaceX complex and launch site close to Brownsville, Texas, will house the SpaceX headquarters after it leaves its current location in Hawthorne, California.
Also, the social media company X plans to relocate its main office from San Francisco, California, to Austin, Texas.
Musk said, “Have had enough of avoiding violent drug addict gangs just to get in and out of the building.”
