At a time when the globe is experiencing conflicts, instability, and unrest, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Saturday that yoga provides the world with a path toward peace.

He called on the international community to allow this Yoga Day to be the start of Yoga for Humanity 2.0, when inner peace becomes a global policy, on the eleventh International Day of Yoga.

The prime minister was speaking at the 11th International Day of Yoga celebration in Visakhapatnam.

The Prime Minister emphasized the value of yoga in promoting happiness and peace while doing the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) at RK Beach with more than three lakh people.

He thinks that by guiding the globe from conflict to collaboration and tension to resolution, yoga may promote peace.

“Unfortunately, there is tension and turmoil throughout the entire planet today. In many areas, instability has been on the rise. Yoga provides us with the path to calm during these periods. According to him, yoga is the pause button that humanity needs in order to breathe, regain equilibrium, and wholeness.

According to PM Modi, yoga should not only be a personal hobby but should instead serve as a platform for international collaboration, with each nation and culture incorporating yoga into its public policies and daily routines.

The Prime Minister congratulated people worldwide on the 11th International Day of Yoga, stating that yoga is a way of life rather than merely an activity.

“To put it simply, yoga means to connect.” “It has brought the world together,” he remarked.

He remembered that when India proposed a resolution in the UN in 2014 designating June 21 as International Yoga Day, 175 nations quickly endorsed the resolution.

According to him, “this support was not just for a resolution but was the entire world’s collective effort for the well-being of humanity.”

“After eleven years, it is evident that yoga has ingrained itself into the lives of millions of people worldwide.Every location conveys the same message: Yoga is for everyone and belongs to everyone, whether it is the steps of the Opera House, the summit of Mount Everest, or the immensity of the sea. “Yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, ability, background, or boundaries,” he continued.

According to PM Modi, he is pleased to see young friends competing in the Yoga Olympiads in their villages, Divyang friends studying the Yoga Shastras in Braille, and scientists practicing yoga in space. He mentioned that Navy ships off the coast of Visakhapatnam also do yoga.

The Prime Minister emphasized yoga’s emphasis on unity. “‘Yoga For One Earth, For One Health’ is the theme for this year’s International Day of Yoga. A profound reality is reflected in this theme: All living things on Earth are interdependent. The health of the plants that sustain us, the rivers that supply us with water, the animals that coexist in our ecosystems, and the soil that produces our food all contribute to human well-being. Yoga teaches us that we are not separate beings but rather a part of nature, wakes us to this connectivity, and guides us on a path towards oneness with the planet.

In attendance were Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Prakash Jadhav, state ministers Satya Kumar and Nara Lokesh, MPs D. Purandeswari and M. Bharat, and central ministers K. Ram Mohan Naidu, Chandrasekhar Pemmasani, and Bhupati Raju Srinivasa Varma.
