As the new primary sponsor of Team India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a historic alliance with Apollo Tyres, a prominent player in the global tire market, on Tuesday.
The two-and-a-half-year deal expires in March 2028. The agreement states that the Indian men’s and women’s national teams’ shirts in all formats will bear the Apollo Tyres emblem. This collaboration replaces Dream11’s prior sponsorship.
According to a release from the BCCI, Apollo Tyres’ first-ever entry into Indian cricket is a calculated effort to connect with a sport that has a strong national following.
“The new partnership, secured after a rigorous bidding process, represents a substantial increase in sponsorship value, signifying the immense and growing commercial appeal of Indian cricket,” it stated.
“Apoll Tyres’ arrival as our new sponsor is a testament to the hard work and consistent performance of our teams,” stated BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia. We are thrilled that this is Apollo’s first significant sponsorship in Indian cricket, which demonstrates the unmatched popularity and impact of the game.
