Anushka embraces her husband Virat as his RCB records their first IPL victory in a scene captured on film

When the IPL team Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the trophy for the first time in the competition’s eighteen-year history, a plethora of emotions were flowing wild at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

As tremors ran through the stadium from the field to the very last row of spectators, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma embraced her husband, the senior RCB player, and contemporary batting legend Virat Kohli.

When Virat broke down on the pitch, he rushed to his wife and gave her a tearful embrace. Emotions burst for him like the Mount Etna volcano in Italy when it all started.

Anushka congratulated her husband and gave him a hug.

In order to record the moment between the couple, which would go down in the annals of Indian pop culture for years to come, the shutters of the cameras positioned at the stadium went all out.

A few weeks after declaring his retirement from Test cricket, Virat’s moment arrived. The feeling of achievement that must be rushing through Kohli’s head right now is unimaginable.

RCB has developed a devoted following throughout the years, one that has supported the team through every match and season. Their first victory, which came nearly twenty years later, has greatly benefited them.

By the way, Anushka and the IPL both make their debuts in the same year. Anushka debuted about six months after the first season of the IPL, which took place in the summer of 2008, in “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,” starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, whose Kolkata Knight Riders were the reigning IPL 2025 winners.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were the team’s mainstays when India won the Champions Trophy in March of this year. It was Virat’s second championship victory with the team since its 2013 edition and India’s third overall.

India, once again including Virat and Rohit as key players, grabbed the victory from South Africa during the ICC T20 World Cup in Barbados over a year ago.

Anushka has been taking a break while Virat has been dominating on the field. She last appeared on screen in 2022 in the cameo in “Qala,” and she had a full-length role in the 2018 film “Zero.”

‘Chakda ‘Xpress’, which was based on India’s top bowler Jhulan Goswami, was supposed to be the actress’s comeback on the big screen. However, because there are no rumors that the movie would be released in theaters, its future appears grim.
