On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Gujarat for two days to take part in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas festivities, which commemorate the 150th birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s “Iron Man.”

The Prime Minister will lead the unity festivities at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Kevadia, and launch several projects during the visit, which will combine homage, development, and national pride.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) reports that PM Modi will begin his first visit to Ekta Nagar on Thursday. In addition to launching electric buses, he will lay the groundwork for a number of infrastructure and development projects totaling about Rs 1,140 crore.

The projects aim to improve eco-friendly mobility, sustainable infrastructure, and tourism in and around the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity.

The Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, the Hospitality District (Phase-1) at Garudeshwar, Vaman Vriksha Vatika, the Satpuda Protection Wall, an E-Bus Charging Depot with 25 electric buses, the Narmada Ghat Extension, Kaushalya Path, and the Smart Bus Stops (Phase-2) are some of the major projects that will be opened.

A Dam Replica Fountain, GSEC Quarters, and a picturesque walkway from Ekta Dwar to Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan (Phase-2) are additional attractions.

A number of ambitious projects, including the Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India, Veer Balak Udyan, a Sports Complex, a Rainforest Project, Jetty Development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat, and Travelators at the Statue of Unity complex, will also have their foundations laid by the Prime Minister. These projects are all intended to enhance the visitor experience and encourage comprehensive development in the area.

To commemorate Sardar Patel’s 150th birthday, PM Modi will unveil a postal stamp and a unique commemorative coin worth Rs 150. The act would be a symbolic homage to Patel’s unmatched role in bringing together over 560 princely states and laying the groundwork for contemporary India.

The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas festivities will be led by the Prime Minister on Thursday. He will start the day by administering the Ekta Diwas promise and presenting flowers to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity, reiterating India’s shared commitment to integrity, internal security, and national unity.

The Ekta Diwas Parade, which includes representatives from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB in addition to several state police forces, will be the day’s high point.

This year’s parade will feature a number of distinctive features, such as the Gujarat Police Horse Contingent, the Assam Police Motorcycle Daredevil Show, the BSF Camel Contingent with its well-known Camel Mounted Band, and a BSF contingent of native Indian dog breeds like Rampur Hounds and Mudhol Hounds.

The event will honor sixteen BSF gallantry medal recipients and five CRPF Shaurya Chakra awardees for their valiant acts during counterterrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir and anti-Naxal operations in Jharkhand. Additionally, BSF members who demonstrated exceptional bravery during Operation Sindoor will receive recognition.
